This weekend is shaping up to be a good one as we head into the end of July and enter the month of August. Kids are getting ready to head back to school and the grind of the year is almost upon us.
So let’s have some summer ending fun with an awesome show happening this Friday at 1904 Music Hall.
The show is being headlined by local band Boysin as they release their cassette with support coming from Voodoo, Look Mexico, Tylor Seaton (of Boys No Good) and Graham Snuggs.
Before the show I got a chance to sit down with drummer of Voodoo, Josh Swim. Voodoo is using this show to release their debut album.
“It’s the culmination of a year’s worth of work,” said Swim as we discussed the album. He described it as lots of sad songs that come from past experiences. He emphasized how all the members are excited to see the reaction to their hard work. At the show they will be distributing albums to those who purchased pre-sale tickets as a special thanks.
He said he does not know just yet how far the band will go but says that this is the furthest he has gone with a musical venture and hopes to see it grow.
Catch Voodoo this Friday at 1904 Music Hall as they release their debut album and watch all the bands including my good friends in Boysin. It is sure to be an amazing night of good friends and awesome music.
