The Ospreys return to the UNF Arena for the first time since hosting the Gators on Dec. 1. North Florida (3-9) hosts Thomas University for a 7 o’clock tip Thursday night. The Night Hawks are 5-4 this season while on a four-game losing skid. This game means a lot for both sides. UNF looks to snap a six-game skid of their own before heading on the road to play UConn and FIU before Christmas.
Head to the UNF Arena Thursday night, Dec. 15. The Ospreys’ action will be on ESPN3 at 7 p.m. Join the progress at 8 on 1010XL, the home of North Florida Athletics.
It’s the first time the Ospreys and Night Hawks will face off on the hardwood. North Florida has dropped six games in a row – with the last win being against North Dakota in Dayton. That was for a Thanksgiving tournament.
It has to be someone other than Dallas Moore. He can give you 25-plus every game but he needs a reliable supporting cast. We could see Karlos Odum – coming off a near double-double Monday night at UTRGV – filling that role as the team’s sixth man.
Expect the same lineup for the fourth straight game: Dallas Moore (#14), Aaron Bodager (12), Garrett Sams (11), Wajid Aminu (2) and Romelo Banks (33).
About the Night Hawks:
Thomas University has lost its last four games. The 5-4 NAIA team can keep it close. However, they’re on the same level of like a Webber International.
Driscoll mentioned Tuesday night that the return of Chris Davenport and Aaron Horne would be evaluated this week. Is it possible we see one or both in some role tonight? At the very least, having that pair return for ASUN play is huge.
How UNF Can Win:
This skid ties the longest losing streak – six games – under Matthew Driscoll. The Ospreys want to win this lone home contest over a six-game stretch. It will give them a boost going to face UConn on Sunday.
